Talent Acquisition Specialist
Job Description
Ad Hoc is hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist for a remote role supporting full-cycle recruiting across technical and non-technical positions. In this position, you will work closely with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition leadership while moving requisitions through sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer support. The scope may also include federal government contracting exposure and proposal recruiting activities.
What you’ll do
- Own assigned requisitions through the recruiting lifecycle, covering intake and sourcing through interviews and offer coordination
- Partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition leadership to clarify role requirements, candidate profiles, and hiring priorities
- Source and engage qualified candidates using channels such as LinkedIn, sourcing platforms, internal databases, referrals, and other recruiting avenues
- Conduct recruiter screens and assess candidates against established requirements for each role
- Provide qualified candidate presentations to hiring teams, including accurate recruiting notes and recommendations
- Coordinate with candidates and internal stakeholders throughout the interview and selection process
- Maintain consistent candidate communication to support a positive candidate experience
- Keep recruiting records current in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), including candidate, requisition, and pipeline information
- Track recruiting activity, candidate sources, interview progress, and other recruiting metrics
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines for recurring and anticipated hiring needs
- Participate in recruiting meetings, hiring manager intake sessions, and team planning discussions
- Identify recruiting challenges, candidate concerns, or hiring blockers and escalate as appropriate
- Support offer preparation, candidate follow-up, and closing activities in partnership with Talent Acquisition leadership and People Operations
- Contribute ideas and feedback to improve recruiting processes, candidate experience, and team efficiency
- Support sourcing and engagement for anticipated or pre-award positions
- Assist with contingent hiring and offer activities
- Maintain communication with candidates tied to upcoming contract opportunities
- Build talent pipelines for priority technical and professional skill sets
- Support recruiting research and pipeline development for proposals and future hiring needs
Requirements
- 2+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience (also noted as 1-3+ years in similar environments such as agency, in-house, RPO, staffing, or comparable roles)
- Experience supporting multiple requisitions or searches simultaneously
- Experience sourcing and engaging candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter or similar sourcing tools
- Experience working within an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Experience conducting candidate screens or participating in candidate evaluation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities and follow through on commitments in a remote environment
- Comfort learning new recruiting processes, technologies, and hiring requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future
- Experience recruiting for technology and technical roles such as software engineering, product, design, data, DevOps, or related areas
- Experience supporting federal government contracting or government-related hiring
- Exposure to proposal recruiting, contingent hiring, or pre-award talent pipelines
- Experience partnering directly with hiring managers
- Familiarity with labor categories or structured qualification requirements
- Experience with ClearCompany or a similar ATS
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience

Compensation and benefits
Salary: USD 70,000 - 90,000 per year.
