Job Description

The Talent Acquisition Specialist contributes to the full lifecycle of talent acquisition, handling sourcing, candidate attraction, interviews, and onboarding of new hires.

Education

BA/BS degree

Experience

A BA/BS degree with three to five years of recruiting experience, or five to seven years of direct human resources experience with an emphasis on full-cycle recruitment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee assigned requisitions, candidate pipelines, referrals, and related recruiting activities within the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and executives to determine staffing needs, fill requisitions, and align efforts with organizational priorities.
  • Screen resumes and applications, conduct initial phone screens and interviews, administer assessments, and make recommendations on hire or non-hire decisions.
  • Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates, including outreach for passive candidates when necessary.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling, candidate communications, confirmations, and status notices to support a positive candidate experience.
  • Manage pre-employment steps, including background checks, drug testing where applicable, reference checks, offers, and related documentation.
  • Administer internal transfer processes, including screening, interview coordination, transfer offer letters, and communications.
  • Maintain recruitment metrics, dashboards, and activity tracking to monitor hiring activity, talent goals, and KPI progress.
  • Review recruitment procedures, identify system or process issues, propose improvements, and support data-driven operations.
  • Partner with department managers to update job descriptions for new roles or evolving requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws, fair hiring practices, I-9, and E-Verify requirements during recruitment and onboarding.
  • Support onboarding and new hire orientation, including first-day transitions to managers and relevant HR content, with Talent Acquisition Generalist assistance as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors, post-secondary partners, and community organizations to support staffing goals.
  • Collaborate with temporary staffing agencies to secure personnel aligned with organizational needs.
  • Screen and assess temporary candidates to ensure alignment with position requirements.
  • Foster relationships with temporary workers and hiring managers to maintain a positive experience.
  • Maintain a temporary staffing report for all active temporary workers.
  • Collaborate with the TA Generalist and Marketing on employer branding initiatives.
  • Work with the TA Generalist to optimize recruiting and onboarding processes through redesign and oversight for optimal candidate and internal user outcomes.
  • Support recruiting projects on special business initiatives within Talent Acquisition and leverage resources to meet goals.
  • Collaborate on recruitment events with the TA Generalist, including career fairs, online job fairs, and community events, to identify quality candidates.
  • Solicit formal feedback from candidates and hiring managers to gauge satisfaction with the recruiting process.
  • Collaborate with the talent acquisition team to improve existing processes or create new ones.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates.
  • Utilize all capabilities to advance the members' competitiveness and profitability, maintaining curiosity and collaborative execution to deliver results.
  • Maintain a wired internet connection with 40 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds, and operate a router with wired Ethernet.
  • Maintain a HIPAA compliant workstation and employ appropriate security practices to protect confidential client data.
  • Maintain safety equipment on site, including a smoke detector, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit.
  • All other duties as assigned.
