Job Description
The Talent Acquisition Recruitment Specialist for Adult Services (On-Site) at OU Health coordinates end-to-end recruitment, candidate pipelines, and offers in collaboration with hiring managers.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Brand Ambassador with comprehensive knowledge of OU Health service lines and total rewards packages.
- Advocate OU Health Talent Acquisition practices to deliver an efficient candidate experience that reflects the brand, culture, and growth throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
- Model adherence to Service Level Agreements to ensure a smooth and efficient hiring process.
- Stay informed on recruiting strategies and market trends to propose process improvements.
- Partner with hiring leaders to craft recruitment strategies for critical and hard-to-fill roles, using data to inform decisions.
- Recommend and coordinate ad placements with internal and external agents.
- With HR Leadership approval, utilize staffing agencies and external search firms; act as liaison between hiring leaders and external sources.
- Collaborate with hiring leaders to identify expectations, clarify processes, and understand talent needs to provide the most qualified candidates; advise on applicant flow.
- Identify qualified candidates by screening resumes and conducting interviews by phone, in person, or virtually.
- Use sourcing techniques to locate passive and active candidates and improve candidate flow.
- Plan and participate in strategic recruitment activities, including job fairs, conferences, on-campus events, and other talent events.
- Ensure positive candidate and hiring manager experiences by timely responses, interview scheduling, and updates throughout the hiring lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate information in the Applicant Tracking System to comply with organizational policies and state and federal employment laws.
- Calculate and negotiate offers for selected candidates, managing the counteroffer process with proper approvals and communication.
- Deliver declinations to candidates positively and assist strong candidates in exploring other OU Health opportunities aligned with their skills.
- Collaborate with other HR teams to support a positive onboarding experience for new hires.
- Actively participate in team meetings and strategy sessions and engage in professional development activities and SLA/KPI reviews to improve results and share market insights.
- Provide support, training, guidance, and assistance to other team members.
Requirements
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare practices.
- Strong business and financial acumen.
- Advanced ability with Applicant Tracking Systems; Workday experience preferred.
- Self-motivated professional who performs well under pressure and with limited supervision.
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and manage a high volume of requisitions.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service to candidates, leaders, and team members.
- Advanced understanding of best-in-class recruitment practices.
- Bachelor's degree.
- At least 3 years of experience in recruiting and talent acquisition.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification at the time of hire or within 12 months of hire.
