Job Description
Responsibilities
Perform information gathering, port scanning, and vulnerability analysis in accordance with policy. Plan, execute, and track remediation activities to address vulnerabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance threat detection, incident response, and the overall security posture of managed systems. Conduct real-time analysis and correlation of security events to identify potential threats and weaknesses. Operate security tools including endpoint protection, network analysis solutions, SIEM, and related security technologies. Prepare incident reports, executive summaries, and analyses of intrusions and security events. Conduct initial incident triage, investigation, and response to security incidents. Track and report on the implementation of security patches and upgrades. Develop and refine security policies, processes, and procedures. Create and maintain information security documentation. Perform security audits and deliver security-focused presentations. Conduct security testing and evaluation, including STIG and checklist auditing. Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship with an active DoD Secret security clearance is required.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain Fort Irwin driving privileges.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and wear personal protective equipment as needed.
- On-call rotations may require assistance outside of normal working hours.
- Ability to work in extreme desert heat and other environmental conditions.
- Travel to training areas by helicopter or 4x4 vehicles may be required.
- Ability to communicate via two-way radio.
- CompTIA Security+ CE certification or equivalent IAT Level II certification is required to start.
- CompTIA CYSA+ or CASP+ certification must be obtained within six months after start date.
- Secret clearance is required.
- Must be able to commute to Fort Irwin, CA.

Pay
USD 70,000.00 to 85,000.00 per year.
