Senior Technical Recruiter
Job Description
This remote, contract Senior Technical Recruiter role supports GovCon hiring across four business units—Civilian Services, National Security and Defense, Health, and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Based in Washington, DC, the position focuses on sourcing and closing technical and cleared professionals for federal contracts, proposals, and strategic growth initiatives, including TS/SCI recruiting, with potential for extension or conversion to full-time employment. Compensation is USD 60 - 80 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Manage full lifecycle recruitment for technical and cleared roles
- Lead proposal recruitment and contingent staffing for opportunities
- Develop candidate pipelines across strategic skill domains
- Provide talent market intelligence and implement competitive sourcing strategies
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define recruiting plans and execute processes
- Oversee candidate experience and the end-to-end recruiting lifecycle
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for technical, cybersecurity, cloud, AI/ML, data, engineering, and program management positions
- Source passive candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, networking, and direct outreach
- Build and maintain pipelines of cleared and uncleared federal technology professionals
- Support proposal recruiting by identifying and qualifying contingent candidates
- Recruit for federal roles requiring Public Trust, Secret, and Top-Secret clearances
- Partner with hiring managers to define strategies and hiring priorities
- Screen, qualify, and coordinate interviews with candidates
- Manage candidate communications throughout the recruiting lifecycle
- Track recruiting activity and pipeline metrics within ATS and CRM platforms
- Contribute to process improvements, talent branding, and sourcing strategy initiatives
- Develop and sustain relationships within the federal technology and cleared talent communities
Requirements
- 8 to 10 plus years of experience in federal government contracting recruiting
- Proven track record recruiting technical talent within the GovCon market
- Experience supporting proposal recruiting and contingent staffing efforts
- Experience recruiting candidates with Public Trust, Secret, and/or Top-Secret clearances
- Proficient in managing full-cycle recruiting from sourcing through offer acceptance
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
- Strong sourcing expertise using LinkedIn Recruiter and other recruiting platforms
- Experience recruiting for cloud, cybersecurity, software engineering, data, AI/ML, infrastructure, and program management roles
- Experience building passive candidate pipelines and talent communities
- Experience supporting rapid-response proposal staffing requirements
- Familiarity with federal contract labor categories and qualification requirements
- Experience utilizing ATS and CRM platforms
- Strong relationship-building and networking capabilities
- Ability to identify, engage, and close difficult-to-find technical talent
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High sense of urgency and accountability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
