Senior Recruiter, Talent Acquisition

This Senior Recruiter in AbbVie’s Talent Acquisition team is based onsite in North Chicago, IL. The role centers on attracting top talent, managing requisitions and candidate pipelines, collaborating closely with hiring managers, and ensuring compliance through the SmartRecruiters platform.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment focus will be on a specific team or function, with potential assignment to other areas as needed.
• Attract top talent and build a strong, qualified candidate pool for current and future openings.
• Conduct pre-screening, drive project management, partner with team members to develop sourcing strategies, and supply talent for open positions.
• Proactively identify, source, and manage talent pools aligned with business priorities.
• Oversee open requisitions, maintain SmartRecruiters, meet recruiting metrics, and report key accomplishments. Compile and share knowledge, industry overviews, market trends, data, and analytics with team members and business leaders.
• Prepare and approve offer packages, including equity and market competitiveness data research.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and AbbVie policies for applicant tracking and reporting metrics.
• Establish a true business partnership with hiring managers and leadership on all staffing activities and issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-5+ years of recruitment experience in a competitive, fast-paced environment required; 7+ years preferred.
• Strong business presence with the ability to instill confidence in clients and deliver results.
• Proactive recruiting and sourcing experience required.
• Healthcare or pharmaceutical industry recruitment experience strongly preferred.
• Experience managing requisitions within SmartRecruiters preferred.
