Recruiter & Human Resources Generalist
Job Description
Join Lynch Group in Bangor, Maine as an onsite Recruiter and Human Resources Generalist. This role blends full-cycle recruiting with onboarding, HR administration, benefits support, and compliance to help teams thrive. The position offers an hourly wage of USD 26 - 31 and a comprehensive benefits package, with opportunities to refine hiring processes and strengthen candidate engagement.
Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for drivers and operational roles
- Source, screen, and interview candidates
- Manage recruiting pipelines and applicant tracking systems
- Coordinate with hiring managers, schedule interviews, and maintain candidate communication
- Build relationships with CDL schools, workforce partners, and community organizations
- Represent the company at job fairs, hiring events, and outreach opportunities
- Support driver recruiting campaigns, referral programs, and social media recruiting efforts
- Help improve hiring processes, recruiting metrics, and candidate experience
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation
- Support new team member integration and engagement
- Assist with recognition programs, events, and culture initiatives
- Help ensure a positive and welcoming employee experience
- Assist with benefits administration and HR processes
- Maintain employee files and HR records
- Support payroll, leave administration, and compliance documentation
- Respond to team member questions and employment-related inquiries
- Assist with policy communication and HR best practices
- Support investigations, corrective action processes, and documentation as needed
- Maintain compliance with employment laws, DOT considerations, and company policies
- Assist with reporting, audits, and HR metrics
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters
- Support HR projects and process improvements
Requirements
- Experience in recruiting, human resources, or talent acquisition
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Experience with HRIS, ATS, Microsoft Office, and recruiting platforms preferred
- Transportation, logistics, warehouse, or operational recruiting experience preferred
- SHRM-CP or HR certification a plus
