Job Description

Acuren Inspection, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Talent Acquisition to lead local and national recruiting efforts aimed at bringing in technical talent. Based in Houston, TX with a hybrid schedule, this role oversees the Talent Acquisition team, develops talent pipelines, and supports both hiring and early-stage onboarding for technical candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a staffing strategy for the technical field inspection workforce in partnership with local operations, workforce planning, the TA team, and regional HR departments
  • Create and grow talent pools across multiple technical skill sets within the organization
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with current job seekers and passive candidates to support future hiring and networking
  • Apply best-in-class sourcing and outreach strategies to connect with qualified candidates, including potential apprentices and trainees
  • Use market penetration best practices to strengthen the Acuren brand and generate interest in employment
  • Oversee strategic recruitment events and initiatives, including national recruitment campaigns and attendance at college and trade school job fairs, as well as high school and non-traditional career events focused on NDT career awareness
  • Maintain relationships with technical staff post-hire to support ongoing employee satisfaction
  • Support workforce staffing and planning teams and operations management with career path development and certifications for technical staff
  • Mentor technical staff to support technical progress and skills development
  • Manage skills matrices for technical staff to ensure timely training and progression
  • Review resumes, conduct pre-screening and interviews, verify qualifications, and advance candidates through the hiring process with local operational management, workforce planning and staffing, and HR
  • Coordinate offer letter preparation and candidate communications
  • Coordinate with operations to ensure logistics needs are addressed for new candidates
  • Check in with staff following hire to confirm onboarding experience and alignment with work expectations

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of full-cycle recruitment experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisor or manager position
  • In-depth knowledge of staffing principles, best practices, and relevant legislation
  • Sound knowledge of staffing and selection processes
  • Advanced knowledge of Craft and NDT, with the ability to communicate technical requirements across client sectors and NDT methods
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to positively influence candidate attraction
  • Ability to target, recruit, and identify specific technical candidates for assigned recruitment initiatives
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple concurrent demands while maintaining positive internal and external working relationships
  • Consistent demonstration of understanding and compliance with responsibilities under provincial Occupational Health and Safety Acts and Regulations, and Acuren Safety and Quality Management Systems, policies, and procedures
