Job Description

The Doctor Recruiter (Dental) supports Familia Dental and Vivid Smiles by sourcing dental providers, including dentists and orthodontists, and coordinating outreach at dental school events in the Great Lakes region. This is a remote position with up to 30 percent annual travel.

Role Summary

This role centers on recruiting provider level candidates, primarily dentists and orthodontists, for open professional staff roles such as Associate Dentist. The recruiter will engage with dental schools, deliver presentations, and represent the organization at career fairs and related events to identify recent graduates and experienced dentists, including those with DSO experience.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, schedule, and participate in hiring events aimed at general dentists and orthodontists.
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to recruit for open professional staff positions, focusing on both new graduates and experienced dentists with DSO backgrounds.
  • Deliver presentations at school events (Lunch & Learn programs) and take part in recruiting events such as career fairs and meet and greet opportunities at universities.
  • Conduct candidate searches using databases, networking, online recruiting resources, job ads, job fairs, and referrals; interview applicants to screen and evaluate qualifications.
  • Inform applicants about duties, responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, and opportunities for advancement.
  • Process and review applications to assess qualifications and eligibility.
  • Communicate acceptance or rejection details to applicants.
  • Select candidates meeting requirements and refer them to hiring personnel.
  • Coordinate advertising or postings for vacancies and notify eligible workers of openings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proven full-cycle recruitment experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding hiring targets.
  • Experience recruiting provider level candidates such as dentists, physicians, veterinarians, and other specialty doctors.
  • Ability to establish trust, address objections, and close placements aligning with both Familia’s needs and candidate interests.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and resilience in a competitive field.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management abilities; comfortable working independently or with a team.
  • Experience with CRM/ATS tools and recruiting platforms.
  • Knowledge that helps but is not required: DSO models, immigration sponsorship processes (H1B), marketing background.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for representing the organization to candidates, students, and external stakeholders, in person or via written and verbal channels.
  • Valid driver’s license and availability to travel up to 30 percent of the year.

Description

The position supports community impact through effective recruitment and outreach. This opportunity requires candidates to be located in the Great Lakes region and able to drive to Chicago, Milwaukee, Detroit, and Indianapolis to attend dental school events 1 to 2 times per year. Availability / Schedule

Full time, Monday through Friday. Remote work arrangement with approximately 30 percent travel annually.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stay in a stationary position for extended periods, including desk work, computer use, and attending events.
  • Ability to travel by car, train, or plane.
  • Preference for candidates located in the Midwest, with easy airport access.
