Job Description
Midway Staffing, Inc. is seeking a Bilingual Onsite Recruiter to support an overnight staffing operation at a key client site in Wheeling, IL. This onsite role offers a starting pay of $24 per hour, paid hands-on training, and clear avenues for career growth with comprehensive benefits for eligible employees. You will act as the primary on-site contact for both clients and associates, using English and Spanish bilingual skills to maintain full staffing across shifts.
Responsibilities
- Source, screen, and interview light industrial talent (warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, production) to keep the client fully staffed for every shift.
- Serve as the main on-site point of contact for clients and associates, addressing questions, resolving issues, and building trust.
- Review resumes, assess qualifications, and match top candidates to open roles based on client needs.
- Own the onboarding process end to end, including background checks, new-hire paperwork, and first-day logistics for a smooth start.
- Process and approve timecards accurately to support timely, error-free payroll.
- Conduct regular check-ins with associates and the client to drive satisfaction, retention, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with recruiters and leadership on staffing strategy and workforce planning.
Requirements
- Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
- Recruiting experience is required; staffing agency experience strongly preferred.
- 1-2 years in staffing, recruiting, HR, or administrative support.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with candidates and clients.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to juggle priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Comfort conducting in-person and phone interviews with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft and/or Google Suite; experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is a plus.
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work well solo and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in HR, Business, or a related field is preferred.
