Compensation: $45,000 to $55,000 per year. Location: Birmingham, Alabama (onsite). This is a full‑time, in‑person role.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation and ongoing management of the HSS workforce solution
- Develop recruiting plans and networks to proactively fill upcoming and current openings; engage channel partners as needed; post community materials; support social media recruiting as required
- Reach out to clients daily to ensure staffing needs are met; visit properties as required
- Continue sourcing new business within current properties
- Track open and filled orders daily and document as required
- Partner with clients to arrange training for candidates who lack required experience
- Onboard new hires through training and management
- Ensure new employees complete background checks, drug screens, and all new hire paperwork prior to start
- Conduct and manage candidate interviews
- Address performance or employee relations issues for assignment‑based staff in a timely manner
- Complete daily activity reports and administrative work related to hiring and tracking hours and payroll; process payroll weekly by deadlines
- Update meetings and communications with clients and talent in the system as required
- Lead weekly safety meetings and training for the property team, documenting training as required
- Attend property morning meetings regularly
- Provide excellent customer service through timely follow‑up and clear communication with clients and employees
- Complete works compensation incident forms as necessary and partner with the Risk department to move claims to closure
- Handle tasks and projects as assigned
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, hotel management, general studies or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in the staffing industry required, including on‑site management
- Hospitality industry experience is highly preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and basic typing skills
- Experience using internet job boards is highly preferred
- Approximately 50-75% travel within the local area
