Job Description

Lead end-to-end recruiting for a healthcare private practice in Salem, Oregon by building sourcing pipelines, guiding hiring teams, and tracking recruiting performance.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruitment for assigned roles, from requisition development and sourcing through candidate selection, offer acceptance, and pre-employment onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers and organizational leaders to assess workforce needs, define position requirements, create recruitment strategies, and align hiring activity to department and organizational objectives.
  • Build proactive sourcing plans to identify qualified active and passive candidates using channels such as LinkedIn, social media, professional associations, healthcare-specific recruitment platforms, employee referrals, networking, and job boards.
  • Design targeted strategies for hard-to-fill and specialized healthcare positions, adjusting approach based on market conditions, candidate availability, specialty, geographic factors, and organizational needs.
  • Create, maintain, and place job postings across GNSA and other appropriate platforms, including general and healthcare-specific job boards.
  • Ensure job postings accurately communicate position requirements, organizational culture, and employment opportunities.
  • Screen and evaluate candidates via resume review, phone/video screening, and other established selection methods to assess qualifications, experience, skills, motivation, and fit.
  • Advise hiring managers throughout selection, including consultative guidance on candidate evaluation, interview practices, selection criteria, and hiring decisions.
  • Coordinate interviews and facilitate communication between candidates and hiring managers to support a timely, organized, and professional process.
  • Maintain a positive candidate experience by delivering timely communication, managing expectations appropriately, and treating candidates with respect throughout recruiting.
  • Manage offers, including compensation determination within guidelines, obtaining approvals, preparing and extending offers, negotiating within established parameters, and coordinating pre-employment steps.
  • Support onboarding engagement by preparing and sending offer letters, setting up new hires in GNSA, facilitating HR onboarding documentation completion, coordinating pre-employment activities, filing active I-9 forms, and ordering Equitable entry cards through building management.
  • Ensure recruiting and selection practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and organizational policies, including equal employment opportunity, employment eligibility, background checks, applicant documentation, and fair selection practices.
  • Track and report recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate pipeline activity, requisition activity, and other KPIs) and identify trends and opportunities to improve outcomes.
  • Evaluate recruitment platforms and sourcing channels to determine which approaches attract qualified candidates.
  • Audit Practice profiles on sites including Indeed, Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter, and healthcare-specific platforms to keep information accurate, consistent, and current.
  • Partner with Marketing to strengthen employer branding and recruitment marketing efforts, including career site content, recruitment campaigns, social media initiatives, career fairs, employee referral programs, and other talent attraction activities.
  • Develop and maintain employee referral strategies to encourage participation and generate qualified referrals.
  • Stay current on recruitment trends, healthcare labor market conditions, sourcing strategies, recruitment technology, and industry best practices.
  • Research competitor recruitment activity and industry benchmarks to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Continuously improve recruiting processes, tools, and workflows to increase efficiency, improve candidate experience, strengthen hiring manager support, and improve talent attraction and retention.
  • Represent Oregon Specialty Group professionally as a culture and values ambassador for candidates, employees, and partners.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion with candidate information, compensation details, employee records, and other sensitive HR matters.
  • Coordinate designated HR administrative onboarding and offboarding processes, including documenting resignations, updating the New Hire/Termination calendar, preparing and distributing Employee Exit Benefits letters, submitting badge termination requests to Salem Health, and transferring active I-9 forms to terminated I-9 records.
  • Stay flexible in a fast-paced healthcare environment by managing multiple requisitions, competing priorities, and time-sensitive recruitment activities.
  • Maintain regular, predictable attendance and perform in-person coordination with access to on-site systems and resources; report as scheduled, be punctual, and remain for assigned hours.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned by management to support departmental objectives and organizational success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, with preference in healthcare, human resources, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of recruiting experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with hiring managers and provide consultative expertise in hiring decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and sound independent judgment.
  • Extensive knowledge of recruitment best practices, processes, and applicable employment laws within the healthcare industry.
  • Hands-on sourcing experience, including recruiting via social platforms and creating search strings.
  • Familiarity with ATS and HRIS.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their role in recruitment, including digital and online recruitment strategies.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits, enrollment processes, and working with brokers or carriers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting clinical, medical, and healthcare roles, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Familiarity with healthcare-specific recruiting platforms and job boards (e.g., HealtheCareers, PracticeLink).

Location: Salem, OR (onsite) | Salary: USD 65,124 - 76,356 per year | Experience: 2 years minimum
