Talent Acquisition Specialist
Job Description
Jersey College seeks a remote Talent Acquisition Specialist to drive strategic sourcing and full life-cycle recruitment across institutional and campus levels. The role centers on building a strong talent network, managing candidate pipelines in ATS and contact management systems, and delivering a high-touch candidate experience that positions Jersey College as an employer of choice. Based in Tucson, AZ with remote work options, the position requires a track record of at least three years in talent acquisition and a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a proactive, innovative, and cost-effective recruitment strategy to attract qualified applicants for vacancies and campus expansion
- Leverage social media as an employee sourcing and employer branding tool
- Build referral networks to reduce reliance on job posting platforms
- Create and maintain a network and database of potential candidates, including a pipeline of passive candidates
- Support the institution's hiring processes
- Establish a structured process to identify and track candidates, improving time-to-hire
- Proactively contact potential candidates, develop and document profiles, and maintain contact notes in ATS and contact management systems
- Ensure a high-touch candidate experience and position Jersey College as an employer of choice
- Utilize technology to manage candidate relationships and engage cold and warm leads, hot leads, referrals, and other prospects
- Use existing job descriptions, initiate internal and external postings, and develop creative recruitment programs and marketing materials
- Increase the number of qualified applicants for existing and expansion campuses
- Prioritize recruiting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of applicants
- Establish a rapport with hiring managers to enable an efficient hiring process
- Collaborate with hiring managers and educational leadership to understand staffing needs and devise proactive sourcing strategies
- Enter and maintain accurate information in the applicant tracking system, including job postings, applications, notes, and required data
- Perform reference and background checks, verification of licensure and/or certification as required
- Conduct exit interviews and report quantitative and qualitative data to hiring managers
Requirements
- 3 years of talent acquisition experience performing effective sourcing and full-cycle recruiting for leadership, management, clinical, professional, technical, and support roles
- Bachelor degree preferred
- Outgoing, approachable style with a passion for helping others succeed
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Healthcare industry or related field preferred

Position Statement
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for implementing sourcing strategies to identify suitable candidates for roles at both the institutional and campus levels. Using these strategies, the specialist will build a talent network to engage management, faculty, and administrative staff. In addition, the role provides full life-cycle recruiting services, including sourcing for existing and expansion campuses; creating and managing requisitions and candidate documentation within an applicant tracking system and contact management system; screening and interviewing, with guidance on interview best practices; and negotiating directly with candidates.
