The Talent Acquisition Recruiter role supports Carlson Print Group and Carlson Packaging Solutions with on-site duties in Eden Prairie, MN and one day per week in Howard Lake. This position combines full-cycle recruiting with HR support, helping to attract top talent while advancing onboarding, record-keeping, benefits administration, and regulatory compliance.

Location, schedule and work arrangement
Location: Eden Prairie, MN 55347. This is a hybrid role with four days in the office and one day remote each week.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with hiring managers to clarify staffing needs and design effective recruiting plans.
- Source talent through job boards, social media, networking, referrals, and direct outreach.
- Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, perform reference and background checks, drug testing, and prepare employment offers.
- Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new hires.
- Manage contract recruiting for temporary and contractual roles.
- Serve as the primary liaison for staffing agencies and recruiting vendors.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with agency representatives.
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
- Assist with company event planning and logistics.
- Support benefits administration and HR compliance efforts.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture.
Requirements
- Two or more years of Human Resources experience with a strong focus on recruiting
- Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Comfort interacting with colleagues at all levels of the organization
- Effective verbal and written communication with attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel); HRIS/Payroll experience preferred; familiarity with Paylocity is a plus
- General knowledge of employment laws and HR practices
- Valid driver’s license; travel to Howard Lake location required
- Experience working with staffing agencies or managing contract recruiting is preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, HRIS platforms, Microsoft Office, and online recruiting platforms such as Indeed and LinkedIn
