Job Description

SHENANDOAH GENERAL CNSTR in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a Talent Acquisition Recruiter to lead the full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for field personnel, drivers, skilled trades, and office staff. This onsite role centers on building a robust candidate pipeline for construction roles and ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new hires, working closely with hiring managers to align staffing needs with project timelines.

The position emphasizes hands-on sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding across both field and office teams, with a focus on delivering timely results in a fast-paced construction environment located in Boca Raton.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring for field and office positions
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates, particularly within construction and skilled trades industries
  • Post and manage job advertisements across job boards, social media platforms, and company career pages
  • Source candidates through Indeed, referrals, networking, trade schools, and industry events
  • Conduct phone screenings and coordinate interviews with hiring managers
  • Ensure timely communication and follow-up with candidates throughout the hiring process
  • Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, MVR checks, and pre-employment onboarding requirements
  • Manage onboarding paperwork and ensure completion of all new hire documentation
  • Assist with orientation scheduling and onboarding coordination for new employees
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and employee files within ATS and HR systems
  • Track recruiting metrics and assist with hiring reports as needed
  • Support HR administrative functions and additional projects as assigned

Requirements

  • 2+ years of recruiting, talent acquisition, onboarding, or HR experience preferred
  • Experience recruiting within construction, transportation, skilled trades, or industrial industries strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of recruiting platforms, social media sourcing, and applicant tracking systems (ATS)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor with strong follow-up and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Must be able to work on-site in Boca Raton, FL (this position is not remote or hybrid)
