Job Description
Senior Recruiter, Science on Amazon's Global Specialty Recruiting (GSR) team leads full lifecycle recruitment for senior science and related technical talent, partnering with senior leaders to identify candidates and build strategic talent pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with research teams and proactively identify candidates to fuel innovation and scale the business.
- Design and execute targeted search strategies to identify and place senior science leaders in Principal, Director, and VP roles at the right time.
- Develop innovative approaches to attract and engage Principal, Director, and VP level science talent.
- Contribute to the team's knowledge base by sharing insights about industries, talent pools, and candidate profiles.
- Build and maintain science talent networks across technology and education sectors, leveraging industry sources to maintain evergreen candidate pipelines.
- Manage business and stakeholder relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and partnering with executive hiring managers to provide strategic guidance.
- Conduct informational calls, phone screens, interviews, and reference checks; participate in hiring decisions across the candidate lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years advising and influencing executive leadership.
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Experience building and driving talent sourcing initiatives and pipelines.
- Experience managing multiple searches, projects, and client relationships with effective prioritization.
- Experience recruiting passive candidates who are top experts in their field.
- 5+ years of progressive corporate, startup, or search firm recruiting experience with a focus on passive engineering or science candidate generation in high tech markets.
