Job Description
The Recruiting Manager at May Trucking Company leads a team of Recruiting Specialists focused on truck driver recruitment, onboarding, and building a reliable candidate pipeline to support company growth. Overview
The Driver Recruiting Manager oversees the end-to-end recruitment and hiring of truck drivers, with emphasis on streamlining application workflows, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and sustaining a robust pool of qualified drivers to drive business expansion.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Recruiting Specialists to meet hiring objectives.
- Oversee the full recruitment and onboarding process for truck drivers, ensuring timely processing and accurate documentation.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract, screen, and hire qualified truck drivers.
- Monitor recruitment metrics, assess team performance, and drive process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, internal policies, and employment laws.
- Drive initiatives to improve the candidate experience and reinforce employer branding in the trucking industry.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to align recruiting efforts with broader organizational goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of recruiting experience, including 2+ years managing a team.
- Strong knowledge of multi-state laws and FMCSA regulations.
- Proven experience managing high-volume recruitment and processing workflows.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting analytics.
