Recruiter, Temporary

This Temporary Recruiter role supports Viasat’s hiring needs for Carlsbad, California and remote locations across the United States. The position focuses on full-cycle recruiting for both technical and non-technical talent, strengthening Viasat’s talent standards, and partnering with leaders and Marketing to advance employer branding.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle recruitment process and deliver an effective candidate and hiring manager experience, including strategy sessions, interview team preparation, debrief sessions, offer analysis, offer negotiation, and structured interview models.
• Assess candidates for technical and behavioral competencies using knowledge of the technology industry landscape, diversity recruiting practices, and market trends.
• Provide regular updates to leaders on the status of priority recruitment initiatives and hiring metrics.
• Collaborate with Marketing to develop branding and marketing campaigns and strategies that position Viasat as an Employer of Choice in markets critical to sought-after talent.
• Represent Viasat at career forums and events to engage potential candidates and strategic partners.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Talent Acquisition experience recruiting for senior roles in an agency or corporate environment.
• Experience recruiting and assessing technical talent, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineering roles.
• Ability to use market and competitor analysis to define and implement talent strategies, assessments, and closing approaches across regional and global hiring for US, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico.
• Proven experience building talent pipelines using job platforms, social media channels, and professional associations and networking affiliations.
• Strong data hygiene practices, including analyzing and reporting funnel metrics.
• Experience with compliance and privacy standards, along with knowledge of relevant employment laws, practices, and hiring policies.
• Excellent communication skills across writing, verbal delivery, and presentation.
• Ability to calculate and present data analytics and recruiting metrics.
• Recruiting technology experience using ATS and CRM systems, primarily Workday and iCIMS.
• Supports US Government hiring; US Citizenship is required.
• Travel up to 10%.

Compensation

Salary range: USD 87,000 - 161,500 per year (contract).

• $87,000.00 - $137,000.00 per year
• For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $107,500.00 - $161,500.00 per year
