Job Description
Join Microsoft in a remote contract recruiting role supporting Corporate Functions and General & Administrative (G&A) hiring. You will own the end-to-end recruitment process, partner closely with hiring teams, and use data-driven sourcing and market intelligence to help candidates move forward smoothly. This position runs for 5 months with a 40-hour weekly schedule.
What you’ll do
- Manage the full requisition lifecycle from creation through offer acceptance to support hiring for Corporate Functions and G&A roles.
- Build strong working relationships with hiring managers to stay aligned on current and future hiring needs and business priorities.
- Consult with and influence hiring teams on talent strategies, candidate assessment, and offer recommendations.
- Run targeted candidate searches using databases and professional networks, including LinkedIn Talent Insights, internet recruiting resources, cold outreach, and employee referrals.
- Apply data insights and market intelligence to shape sourcing plans and advise stakeholders on talent availability and competitive positioning.
- Interview candidates to assess work history, training, education, and job skills against role requirements.
- Maintain accurate employment records and applicant tracking documentation throughout the recruiting process.
- Communicate proactively with candidates about opportunities, application status, and selection outcomes.
- Promote career opportunities and organizational culture through informative and compelling outreach.
What you bring
- 3+ years of recruiting experience supporting Corporate Functions and/or General & Administrative roles.
- 3+ years demonstrating ability to consult with and influence hiring teams in a complex, matrixed organization.
- 3+ years using data insights tools such as LinkedIn Talent Insights to guide sourcing and talent strategies.
- 2–4 years of customer service or related experience in a professional environment.
- Prior experience in a large, complex organizational structure is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration (or related field), or equivalent professional training.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to consult with and influence hiring managers and interview teams across the recruitment process.
- Solid negotiation skills, including experience structuring and presenting competitive offers.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a candidate-centric approach.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of legal policies and procedures related to hiring practices and employment law.
- Knowledge of personnel recruitment, selection principles, and best practices in talent acquisition.
- Familiarity with strategic planning principles related to workforce planning and talent strategy.
- Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and applicant tracking systems.

Compensation and schedule
- Pay range: $31.50 – $35.50 per hour
- Weekly schedule: 40 hours
- Job status: Non-Exempt
- Location: Remote
- Duration: 5 months
