Job Description

TransPremier, LLC, a Jacksonville-based provider of road construction and trucking services, relies on a strong recruiting function to build the teams that power Florida’s road projects. The on-site Recruiter will own the full lifecycle of hiring for hourly, skilled-trade, CDL, and professional roles, ensuring compliance with DOT, DOL, OSHA, and FMCSA standards while delivering a professional candidate experience. This position offers a $25 per hour rate and requires at least two years of recruiting experience plus a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end recruiting for hourly, skilled trades, CDL, and professional roles, including planning, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, onboarding, and new-hire orientation.
  • Collaborate with managers to identify hiring needs, craft recruiting strategies, develop job descriptions, and source qualified candidates via job boards, social media, networking, referrals, job fairs, and industry outreach.
  • Screen, interview, and evaluate candidates by assessing experience, technical qualifications, driving records, certifications, licenses, and safety history to maintain DOT and company compliance.
  • Hire and onboard top talent who align with company values, while delivering a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the process.
  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, field training, compliance, workforce development, and retention initiatives with Human Resources, Operations, and Safety teams.
  • Monitor recruiting metrics, maintain accurate hiring records, and identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes and hiring effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting, talent acquisition, or Human Resources experience with a proven record of sourcing, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retention.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal) with excellent interpersonal, interviewing, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and recruiting experience.
  • Proficient in HRIS and recruiting software (Paylocity or similar), Microsoft Office, and Canva, with strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Valid driver's license required with flexibility to attend occasional evening or weekend hiring activities, job fairs, and recruiting events.

The Job

TransPremier seeks an experienced Recruiter to manage full-cycle recruiting and talent acquisition for its growing trucking and road construction operations. The role involves sourcing, screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding qualified employees including CDL drivers, equipment operators, skilled trades, subcontractors, and other team members. This position offers the chance to shape recruiting strategies, strengthen the talent pipeline, and directly impact the growth of a leading Florida construction company. The ideal candidate is fully bilingual in English and Spanish, possesses relevant recruiting experience, and has knowledge of the trucking and road construction industries. Willingness to learn and apply DOT, DOL, OSHA, and FMCSA requirements for transportation and workplace compliance is essential.
