Job Description

At PowerSchool Group LLC, this hybrid role supports the growth of a Go-To-Market (Sales) organization by owning full life cycle hiring outcomes. The Principal Talent Acquisition Consultant (GTM) advises leaders on hiring strategy and market considerations, while maintaining a high-touch approach that strengthens both candidate and customer experience.

Working closely with executive and hiring leadership, you will translate business needs into recruiting plans, evaluate candidates through structured methods, and build long-term talent communities across PowerSchool and the EdTech market.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with the CRO, executive leaders, and hiring leaders to align on business objectives, team requirements, and the impact each role must deliver, including consultation on market compensation, talent availability, and strategic recruitment.
  • Develop recruiting strategies using market insight, sourcing data, compensation context, and candidate evidence.
  • Run multiple searches at once while staying responsive and focused on quality, accuracy, and an excellent candidate experience.
  • Source proactively by engaging active and passive candidates through professional networks, sourcing platforms, referrals, events, and AI-enabled tools.
  • Lead structured, behavioral interviews to assess skills, experience, competencies, motivation, and readiness for the role.
  • Provide clear candidate recommendations and respectfully challenge assumptions when evidence, market factors, or business needs point to a different approach.
  • Build long-term relationships and talent communities across PowerSchool and the EdTech market.
  • Continuously improve recruiting practices, tools, processes, and experiences.

What you bring

  • 8 to 10+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with strong emphasis on commercial or GTM functions within edtech, start-up, or scaling sales environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience).
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent requisitions across different functions or levels.
  • Proven success building consultative relationships across a sales organization.
  • Experience with behavioral interviewing and using evidence to support candidate recommendations.
  • Experience advising hiring leaders throughout the recruiting and selection process.
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system and sourcing technologies.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% to 15% for business needs.
  • Experience recruiting for GTM (go-to-market; sales) teams within SaaS, technology, EdTech, or other complex professional environments.
  • Staffing or executive search experience.
  • Workday Recruiting experience.
  • Experience using AI-enabled recruiting or sourcing tools.
  • One of the following certifications: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or comparable.
  • Ability to translate business needs into recruiting strategy and advise leaders with confidence and credibility.
  • Experience building relationships across levels and functions, using market insight and evidence to improve hiring decisions, and creating proactive talent pipelines ahead of urgent needs.
  • Demonstrated judgment that balances ownership and urgency, with a customer and candidate experience built on service, relationships, and accountability.

Location and travel

  • Hybrid role based in the Plano, TX corporate office.
  • Regular onsite presence expected based on team and business needs.
