Clinical Trial Recruiter

Make an impact in clinical research by helping connect eligible patients with studies at Innovo Research Inc. This is a 100% on-site, Monday–Friday Clinical office role in Champaign, IL, focused on recruitment, screening, and informed consent support.

What you’ll do

• Identify potential research participant candidates using multiple channels, including medical records, databases, referrals, and community outreach.
• Develop and execute recruitment strategies that attract eligible patients while meeting study protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Educate potential participants and their families about purpose, procedures, risks, and benefits of clinical trials to support informed decision-making.
• Obtain informed consent when required and appropriately delegated, following established guidelines, protocols, and ethical standards.
• Complete thorough remote screenings and assessments to determine initial eligibility, coordinating with healthcare professionals as needed.
• Maintain detailed, accurate records of patient interactions, recruitment activities, and consent processes in line with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including investigators, research coordinators, healthcare providers, and administrative staff, to support recruitment and enrollment.
• Provide ongoing communication and support to address questions and concerns while ensuring continued compliance with study protocols.
• Adhere to regulatory guidelines, institutional policies, and ethical standards, prioritizing patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Use employee calendars to schedule patient appointments and perform additional duties as assigned.
• Participate in training, workshops, and professional development to strengthen recruitment strategies and protocol knowledge.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Prior experience in sales, cold-calling, clinical research, patient recruitment, or a healthcare-related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial protocols, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in medical terminology, electronic health records, and data management systems.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient advocacy, safety, and confidentiality preferred.

Compensation and benefits

$40,000 - $55,000 per year. If hired, the final base wage is determined by geographic location, abilities, education, and/or experience. Innovo Research also considers internal equity for pay equity purposes.
