Travel Recruiter

GMS Mine Repair & Maintenance is seeking a Travel Recruiter to lead end-to-end hiring for traveling professionals supporting mining projects. This onsite role in Morgantown, WV focuses on sourcing, evaluating, interviewing, and coordinating offers while maintaining strong candidate relationships and adherence to applicable hiring requirements.

Responsibilities

• Source, screen, and interview candidates for travel-based mining roles using a variety of recruiting tools and platforms.
• Own full-cycle recruitment from job posting through offer negotiation, delivering a consistent candidate experience.
• Create and implement targeted sourcing strategies using social media marketing (recruitment), talent management software, and research to identify high-potential candidates.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal hiring managers, external agencies, and prospective candidates through effective communication and ongoing relationship management.
• Ensure compliance with HR legal requirements, employment law in talent management, and company policies across the hiring process.
• Use applicant tracking systems, including Lever or iCIMS, to track candidate stages and generate recruitment reports.
• Coordinate employee orientation sessions for new hires to support onboarding into the organization.

Requirements

• Proven recruiting experience, particularly technical recruiting or executive recruiting in the mining or heavy industry sectors.
• Strong negotiation skills and excellent communication skills to engage candidates effectively.
• Familiarity with talent management software such as Workday, SAP PeopleSoft, or UltiPro is preferred.
• Knowledge of employment and labor law applicable to talent acquisition practices globally.
• Ability to perform cold calls and support lead generation to attract qualified candidates.
• Experience with social media management (recruitment) and HRIS systems such as Salesforce or ADP for candidate sourcing and data management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
