Job Description

Air Products and Chemical is hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist for its Driver Recruiting team, focused on sourcing and recruiting qualified CDL driver candidates. This remote role supports end-to-end hiring activities, partnering closely with hiring leaders to move candidates through the recruitment lifecycle efficiently.

The team is seeking someone who can manage requisitions, build internal and external sourcing networks, and apply labor market insight to develop effective source strategies. The position is based in Harrisburg, PA, with remote work available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage requisitions and candidate pipelines for CDL driver positions, and assist with other roles as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a strong internal network with key team members while also leveraging external networks.
  • Partner consistently with Hiring Managers and HR throughout the full recruitment lifecycle.
  • Use labor market knowledge to create appropriate source strategy and identify talent.
  • Understand business leaders’ requirements and collaborate on delivering high-quality talent with speed.
  • Challenge and educate hiring managers on applicant and talent selection, including business and talent risks tied to certain candidates and related assumptions.
  • Conduct intake meetings with the Hiring Manager and run calibration meetings as needed during recruiting.
  • Conduct phone interviews, then schedule interviews.
  • Coordinate with the Talent Acquisition Coordinator and MyHR to support a strong candidate experience through onboarding.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

  • Recruiting or staffing experience for CDL positions is required.
  • Prior experience in Transitioning Service Member and Veteran recruitment is strongly desired.
  • Knowledge of DOT / FMCSA regulations.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • College degree and/or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Solid experience with applicant tracking systems such as Workday and Tenstreet preferred.
  • Experience using proactive sourcing methods, including resume databases, Boolean/x-ray search techniques, LinkedIn, and networking with professional organizations.
  • Proven success in meeting and exceeding KPI and TA data metrics.
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize workload, and operate independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • A can-do attitude and strong work ethic.
