Talent Acquisition Specialist

Join United Mortgage Lending in Troy, MI onsite as a Talent Acquisition Specialist focused on sourcing, screening, and guiding mortgage hiring needs end to end.

Responsibilities

• Source passive candidates using talent sourcing platforms including LinkedIn and Indeed, plus the existing talent database and Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
• Review applications for approved roles and move active candidates through the hiring process
• Drive outreach through phone, text, email, LinkedIn InMails, referrals, networking events, and career fairs
• Pre-screen candidates to confirm best alignment with job requirements and preferred qualifications
• Explain United Mortgage Lending’s compensation model, products, support, technology, leadership, and company culture during the recruiting process
• Own the candidate experience across the full recruiting cycle, from first conversation through offer or rejection
• Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified talent for assigned positions, including regular follow-up
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with loan officers and mortgage professionals
• Stay connected with prospects through calls, texts, meetings, and networking events
• Develop and strengthen a referral network within the mortgage community
• Understand individual candidate needs and hiring manager requirements to identify the best match for specific positions and overall company goals

Requirements

• Completed Bachelor’s degree
• 2+ years of experience in full cycle recruiting, sourcing, and screening for both passive and active candidates
• Strong understanding of labor laws as they relate to recruiting and hiring
• Ability to build strong relationships with both candidates and hiring managers
• Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate professionally by phone, in person, and in writing
• Self-motivated approach with ability to manage high volume candidate outreach
• Strong organization, follow-up, and ability to meet deadlines and goals
• Plus: Experience recruiting mortgage loan officers, sales, business development, and mortgage operations roles
• Plus: Knowledge of the mortgage industry, NMLS licensing, loan officer compensation, mortgage products, and producer motivations
