Job Description

First Hawaiian Bank is seeking a Talent Acquisition Recruiter to manage full-cycle recruitment for non-exempt front-line staff and to enhance the candidate experience. This onsite role in Honolulu, HI collaborates with hiring managers to meet business objectives and ensure effective staffing across branches.

Compensation

USD 52,000 - 68,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Post and manage openings across branches and departments, actively screening and interviewing candidates for branch roles and entry-level administrative positions
  • Create sourcing plans to build candidate pipelines using online platforms, social media, and community outreach
  • Evaluate applicant eligibility, conduct interviews, and track progress to assess qualifications and cultural fit
  • Present qualified candidates to managers with proper documentation and timely notifications of selections or non-selections
  • Make hiring recommendations and negotiate offers and salaries with managers and candidates
  • Coordinate temporary staffing requests with external resources as needed to meet urgent staffing needs
  • Lead rotational New Employee Welcome sessions to communicate bank and HR policies and procedures
  • Represent the bank and Human Resources at recruiting events, including job fairs and professional interactions
  • Prepare and analyze staffing reports using data analytics to inform talent and business decisions
  • Oversee job requisitions and postings, collaborating with the Talent Acquisition team to maintain an efficient recruitment process
  • Act as the primary backup to the Talent Acquisition Coordinator for new hire processing, onboarding, and related administrative duties

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management
  • 3 years of professional work or office experience, including 1 year of full-cycle recruitment
  • Knowledge of employment and labor laws and best practices in the industry
  • Ability to build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with applicants, employees, and management
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Active listener with strong consultative skills and a results-driven mindset
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and proficiency in Microsoft 365 and HR systems
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency, able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle confidential information and exercise sound hiring judgment
