Job Description
This full-time onsite Talent Acquisition Recruiter role is based in Walnut Creek, CA, managing the lifecycle for Business Center 5 requisitions with periodic travel to project sites.
Responsibilities
- Promote the company culture and values while driving continuous improvements in Talent Acquisition services and supporting Diversity and Inclusion efforts across the organization.
- Collaborate with regional business unit hiring managers to define talent needs and job requirements to fill requisitions on schedule.
- Post requisitions in the applicant tracking system and across social media channels.
- Source, screen, and identify candidates who are the best fit for open roles.
- Share candidate short lists with hiring managers and coordinate interview scheduling.
- Create offer letters and manage the background screening process.
- Initiate and coordinate onboarding for new hires.
- Proactively build and maintain a robust talent pipeline using multiple sourcing resources and techniques.
- Research, identify, and engage talent for open requisitions through social media platforms and resume databases.
- Administer diversity and inclusion programs to attract a wide range of applicant pools.
- Develop strong relationships and provide high level customer service to HR, BU Operations, hiring managers, and other stakeholders.
- Partner with regional HR/Operations teams and other BUs to expedite internal mobility and transfers.
- Support internal mobility initiatives and manage ETS content to enable staff mobility across the organization.
- Utilize ETS to data mine internal candidates based on capability, mobility, and availability.
- Contribute ideas to improve overall effectiveness of the HR TA team.
- Apply lean concepts and practices to work efficiently, reduce waste, and enhance programs (examples include Personal Kanban, A3 problem solving, and story boarding).
- Develop new strategies and programs to attract applicants and provide creative solutions to specific acquisition challenges.
- Collaborate with BU leaders, HR teams, and marketing to position Turner as an Employer of Choice in the talent acquisition process.
- Participate in company-wide HR initiatives and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, with at least 3 years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Construction or construction-related industry experience, or experience in a mid-size organization with 10,000+ employees, preferred.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of business and construction operations.
- Knowledge of HR Talent Acquisition policies, operations, and processes.
- Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and other related social media platforms preferred.
- High energy self-starter with advanced Talent Acquisition skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands.
- Professional verbal and written business communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, active listening, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with all employee levels, management, and applicants/candidates.
- High integrity, ability to maintain confidentiality, and exercise discretion.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with others.
- Experience implementing new Talent Acquisition programs and processes with attention to detail and deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Some travel required across Business Center 5 and local project sites.
- Technologies used include ATS, Experienced Tracking System (ETS), and LinkedIn Recruiter.
Compensation
- Salary: USD 95,000 - 135,000 per year
