Responsibilities
- Active direct sourcing: proactively identify talent via LinkedIn, database research, and multiple recruitment channels rather than waiting for applicants.
- Agile full-cycle recruiting: manage concurrent searches across diverse departments and skill sets, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Hiring manager partnership: serve as a consultant and coach to managers, defining staffing needs, designing objective selection practices, and expediting offers.
- Candidate relationship management: cultivate pipelines and represent the College of LSA to applicants, keeping candidates engaged from application through offer.
- Process improvement: evaluate recruitment practices and develop intuitive resources to help managers hire with greater self-sufficiency.
- Networking: collaborate with recruitment networks across the university and external industry groups to share best practices.
Requirements
- Education & Experience: Undergraduate degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) plus 3+ years of full-cycle recruitment and selection experience.
- Responsiveness: Ability to manage a high volume of diverse requisitions independently and pivot strategies when a search stalls.
- Generalist mindset: Quickly learn the technical jargon and unique requirements of varied professions to engage managers and candidates.
- Technical skills: Intermediate proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), ERP data extraction queries, and office productivity software.
- Communication: Ability to discuss and write clear communications to guide hiring panels, manage applicant expectations, and move processes forward.
- Priority management: Capability to identify goals, remove blockers, and focus time on high-priority tasks.
