Responsibilities
- Conduct recruitment strategy meetings with hiring managers and Senior Human Resources Business Partners to fully understand job requirements, candidate fit, and qualifications needed to fill the role.
- Develop creative sourcing ideas and innovative recruiting techniques to attract qualified professionals and a diverse talent pool via social media, LinkedIn, Recruiter, referrals, direct outreach, internet data mining, job boards, and internal/external networks.
- Screen resumes, assess candidates, interview, and provide feedback and recommendations to hiring managers and Sr/HRBPs on candidate selection, coordinating with the compensation team on base pay considerations.
- Promote Metra as a recruitment brand by actively participating in job fairs, college fairs, and other networking and marketing events.
- Develop outreach efforts to achieve affirmative action goals and participate in recruitment events supporting diversity hiring and inclusive sourcing.
- Collaborate with EEO to establish affirmative action goals.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to meet the organization’s ongoing needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, or in lieu of degree, a combination of education and experience totaling four years in Human Resources.
- Five years of full lifecycle recruitment/talent acquisition experience (in-house preferred), including two years creating effective sourcing strategies for diverse candidate attraction, selection, and engagement; and using a metrics-driven recruiting approach.
- Solid knowledge of full lifecycle recruiting components: sourcing, attracting, screening, interviewing, selecting, reference checking, and onboarding.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and familiarity with sourcing and networking resources.
- Understanding of wage and salary trends and general personnel policies and practices.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, plus collaborative and persuasive abilities to build consensus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and applicant tracking systems.
- Experience using online networking tools (including LinkedIn) and various screening methods (video, phone, references) to source both active and passive candidates.
- Ability to recruit for all levels, including mid-level and senior management positions, with initiative and adaptability to manage multiple assignments.
- Discretion handling confidential information and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license, ability to operate a vehicle, and ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, late afternoons, evenings, or weekends as needed.

Reporting to the Manager, Client Services, the Recruiter will implement effective full lifecycle recruiting, including building strong partnerships with hiring managers, developing strategic recruiting plans, sourcing and attracting diverse candidates, and screening, interviewing, and communicating Metra's employee brand. The primary duties include conducting recruitment strategy meetings with hiring managers and Sr/HRBP to ensure a complete understanding of job requirements and candidate qualifications.
