Job Description
The Operations Talent Acquisition team is hiring a Recruiter, Talent Acquisition to support staffing for American Airlines Airport roles in Fort Worth, TX. This contract position includes domestic travel for hiring events, with opportunities for on-the-spot job offers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support operational readiness by ensuring American Airlines roles are staffed according to business needs.
- Collaborate with multiple hiring managers to assess staffing requirements and align on priorities.
- Travel domestically to attend hiring events multiple times per month, including occasional weekend events.
- Lead intake sessions to confirm staffing needs, responsibilities, and ensure job descriptions accurately reflect required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Source talent proactively using job boards, social media, and networking resources to build qualified pipelines.
- Advise hiring managers on behavioral interviewing practices, and facilitate selection discussions to support effective and compliant interviewing.
- Maintain a positive internal and external applicant experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
- Help influence the overall hiring process to improve timeliness and confirm agreements.
- Respond to recruiting-related needs and inquiries from business leaders, hiring managers, and TA leadership.
- Provide timely updates to hiring managers on applicant activity, track talent acquisition metrics, report trends and issues to TA leadership, and recommend improvements.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date applicant records in the applicant tracking system for reporting and analysis.
- Build and sustain strong cross-functional partnerships with the business, hiring managers, and other talent acquisition functions.
- Work closely with third-party vendors by providing guidance on union contract considerations, validating pay scale information, following up on requisition statuses, and supporting process approvals.
- Participate in recurring business calls with leaders to review high-volume hiring strategy and provide updates.
- Coordinate with Legal, Labor, and other stakeholders to support recruiting processes and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience/training).
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a recruiting function.
Preferred Qualifications
- High-volume recruiting experience, including experience in a unionized environment.
- Experience conducting competency-based interviews.
- Talent Acquisition reporting experience related to performance metrics.
- Experience using SuccessFactors or other enterprise ATS systems (Taleo, iCIMS, etc.).
- Experience collaborating with RPO partners.
- Experience organizing and conducting hiring events.
- Airline experience.
