Recruiter (In-House)

This onsite Recruiter role based in Fair Haven, Michigan, focuses on attracting, screening, onboarding, and supporting drivers as well as office and operations staff. Overview: This position will recruit mainly drivers, but also recruit for office and operations personnel, helping to ensure the organization has the talent it needs to grow.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Human Resources and managers across departments to define hiring needs and craft a recruitment plan for both hourly and salaried roles
• Partner with management to establish and pursue hiring goals
• Source candidates through job boards, resume databases, and professional networks
• Screen applicants for fit, including conducting background checks and drug screenings
• Conduct interviews at multiple stages, including phone screenings and in-person meetings
• Lead the onboarding process for new hires
• Maintain employee files, track benefit eligibility and PTO, ensure Form I-9 compliance, and perform other HR duties as assigned
• Manage and document all employee disciplinary actions

Requirements

• A human resources degree is preferred
• Proven track record of successful recruitment
• Strong interviewing skills
• Experience with social media recruiting sites such as LinkedIn and Indeed
• Exceptional communication abilities and the capacity to guide new hires through onboarding
