Driver Recruiter

Dick Lavy Trucking is hiring an experienced CDL Driver Recruiter at its headquarters in Bradford, Ohio. If you enjoy building strong relationships, coordinating hiring steps, and helping keep driver staffing on track, this onsite role combines recruiting ownership with close partnership with operations. The position is full-time (temporary) and starts at $24.00 per hour, with the expectation that you can commute to and relocate to Bradford, OH 45308 before starting.

What you’ll be doing

• Source and connect with prospective CDL-A drivers through job boards, social media, online searches, referrals, and industry contacts.
• Handle calls and inquiries from interested drivers, answer questions, and follow up throughout the hiring process.
• Post, manage, and optimize recruiting advertisements, including recommending new approaches to reach qualified candidates.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of drivers for current and future openings.
• Partner with operations to understand staffing needs and prioritize recruiting efforts accordingly.
• Coordinate applications, pre-employment paperwork, and background check steps.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and keep the hiring process organized and on track.
• Support recruiting content updates for the company website, Facebook, and other social media channels.

What you bring

• Prior recruiting experience; CDL driver or transportation recruiting experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport by phone.
• Comfort using computers, online recruiting tools, and Microsoft programs.
• Ability to manage multiple candidates and competing priorities while following through on details.
• Experience with Tenstreet and Samsara is preferred.
