Recruiter / Dispatcher
Job Description
This onsite bilingual role in Palatine, IL combines recruiting and dispatching duties to source, screen, and place temporary staff for client assignments while managing ongoing client and candidate relationships.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to determine temporary staffing needs.
- Work with hiring managers to define detailed job duties and hiring criteria.
- Source candidates through multiple channels such as job boards, social networks, networking, and referrals.
- Review resumes and conduct initial interviews to assess qualifications and fit.
- Maintain a database of candidate profiles for easy access and tracking.
- Arrange and coordinate interview schedules between clients and candidates.
- Provide ongoing communication and support to both clients and candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Assist with onboarding to ensure a smooth transition for placed staff.
- Schedule and dispatch temporary workers based on client needs, ensuring appropriate placements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and temporary staff, addressing inquiries and providing updates.
- Keep accurate records of staff assignments, forms, and client orders in the dispatch system.
- Address staffing issues promptly to maintain client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Assist with workers' compensation claims and injury reports, including related paperwork and follow-up calls.
- Support clients with disciplinary actions or performance improvement needs when required.
- Build and nurture professional relationships with clients to understand their workforce requirements.
- Ensure dispatching processes comply with company policies, labor laws, and safety regulations.
- Verify compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (phone and email).
- Good interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to design and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment across different roles.
- Proficient with recruitment software and job boards.
- Proactive, independent, and able to take initiative.
- Effective time management with a track record of meeting deadlines.
- Comfortable in a fast paced environment and capable of handling multiple priorities.
- Quick to learn applicant tracking software or other recruitment systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Flexibility to work hours including weekends as needed.
- Willingness to travel to client locations as required.

Shift and Hours
- Typically eight or more hours per day, depending on workload
- Monday through Friday, roughly 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or later
- Flexible schedule with potential overtime and weekend assignments
Education and Experience
- Previous experience in dispatching staffing or customer service roles is preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
