Hommer Tool & MFG. is seeking skilled moldmakers, tool and die makers, and precision machinists for on-site roles in Arlington Heights, IL to set up, program and run their own work on short-run, close-tolerance parts.

Job Details

• Location: Arlington Heights, IL (onsite)
• Type: Full-time
• Pay: $21.00 - $35.00 per hour
• Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week

Responsibilities

• Set up, program and operate your own assignments on a variety of equipment, ensuring setups are correct and parts run to specification.
• Work daily on diverse, short-run, close-tolerance parts, maintaining consistent quality and adherence to process controls.
• Read, interpret and apply blueprints to guide machining operations and verify conformance to drawings.

Requirements

• Maintain an organized workspace with a clean, safe environment and a positive attitude.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and reliability in performance and output.
• Mold making experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on corrective action and continuous improvement.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints.
• Approximately 1 year of machining experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Some personal tools are required.
• Machining experience: 1 year required.
