Custodial Trainer / Recruiting Assistant

Enviro-Clean Services, Inc is seeking a Custodial Trainer / Recruiting Assistant to support both the janitorial team and the hiring process. This full-time 1st shift role is based in Walled Lake, MI and serves the surrounding locations through on-site training, employee coaching, and recruiting assistance as needs change.

Role Overview

You will help onboard and develop custodial and janitorial employees by providing instruction, follow-up, and practical support. Alongside training responsibilities, you will assist with recruiting activities including candidate screening and interviews, and you may step in for additional hiring support during busier periods.

Responsibilities

• Train new and existing janitorial employees on cleaning procedures, equipment use, safety practices, and company expectations.
• Provide coaching, ongoing follow-up, and support to help employees perform successfully.
• Support recruiting efforts, including candidate screening, assisting with interviews, and participation in job fairs.
• Act as recruiting or hiring support when hiring needs increase.
• Partner with Operations to identify training and staffing needs.
• Travel between locations as needed for training, recruiting, and employee support.

Requirements

• Experience in janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or facilities work.
• Experience in training, coaching, supervision, recruiting, or hiring.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Organized and dependable, with the ability to work independently.
• Professional and approachable style, with the ability to motivate others.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (paid mileage and drive time).

Compensation and Location

• Pay: $21.50 per hour
• Shift: 1st Shift
