Mac5 Construction is hiring a hands-on Construction Recruiter in Irvine, CA to lead full-cycle recruiting for commercial construction roles.

Own recruiting from first search through accepted offer: sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer management, and follow-up
Proactively recruit candidates using LinkedIn, Indeed, industry networks, referrals, competitor research, resume databases, professional organizations, and direct outreach
Build long-term talent pipelines for difficult-to-fill roles instead of restarting from zero each time
Map the talent market and identify high-performing professionals across mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, general contracting, and related construction organizations
Support the growth of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and recruiting processes by helping develop, organize, and maintain systems and workflows
Create scalable recruiting infrastructure, including candidate database organization, recruiting workflows, candidate stages and disposition tracking, talent pools, recruiting templates, interview processes
Maintain recruiting operations visibility with recruiting metrics and reporting, pipeline reporting, source-of-hire tracking, and candidate follow-up systems
Partner with operations leaders and hiring managers to understand real hiring needs beyond job descriptions
Learn the business and projects to become a trusted recruiting partner, including understanding differences across construction role types

5+ years of recruiting experience preferred
Strong experience recruiting within commercial construction
Mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, MEP, or specialty contractor recruiting experience strongly preferred
Proven recruiting results for Project Managers, Project Engineers, Estimators, Engineers, Superintendents, and other construction professionals
Strong sourcing skills, especially with passive candidates
Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Resume, ATS platforms, and other sourcing tools
Experience building or improving ATS workflows and recruiting processes
Strong understanding of full-cycle recruiting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfort initiating outreach and building candidate relationships
Strong organization and follow-through; ability to manage multiple searches at once
Ability to work independently with minimal direction
Comfort finding candidates not actively looking and generating enough interest to start conversations
Be a “grinder”
