Job Description

Casa Pasha in Rochester Hills, Michigan is seeking a Bar Manager to lead the opening beverage program and oversee daily bar operations onsite. The role centers on developing staff, managing inventory, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and driving profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and interview candidates, train bartenders and bar support staff, and support their ongoing development.
  • Cultivate a positive, professional, and high‑performing team culture.
  • Conduct pre‑shift briefings and oversee ongoing education and beverage training initiatives.
  • Set and enforce service standards, appearance standards, and operational expectations.
  • Provide coaching to drive performance improvement and professional development.
  • Oversee preparation and presentation across cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, sake, and specialty beverages.
  • Maintain consistency and quality in beverage programs and presentation.
  • Collaborate with ownership and culinary leadership to develop seasonal cocktails and beverage features.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of classic cocktails, modern techniques, and current industry trends.
  • Continuously evaluate beverage offerings using guest feedback, sales performance, and the food menu to drive improvements.
  • Oversee inventory management, ordering, receiving, and organization of products.
  • Perform regular inventory counts and monitor beverage costs.
  • Control waste, spills, over‑pouring, and product loss.
  • Develop and maintain recipes, specifications, and costing sheets.
  • Ensure compliance with liquor laws, health regulations, and company policies.
  • Continue to develop relationships with vendors.
  • Lead from the floor and behind the bar during service.
  • Create memorable guest experiences through hospitality, engagement, and beverage expertise.
  • Address guest concerns professionally and effectively.
  • Build relationships with regular guests and cultivate loyalty.
  • Foster an atmosphere that encourages guests to linger for one more round.
  • Monitor sales performance and labor efficiency.
  • Analyze beverage cost percentages and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in reaching revenue goals and profitability targets.
  • Support initiatives that boost beverage sales and guest engagement.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of bartending experience in craft cocktails, upscale dining, a luxury hotel, or high‑volume hospitality environments.
  • One to two years of leadership or management experience is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, beer, and sake.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, ordering processes, and beverage cost controls.
  • Proven ability to train and develop bartenders.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑expectation environment.
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
