Job Description
Service Pros Installation Group is building installer recruiting and performance across a multi-state flooring installation footprint tied to Lowe’s. In this field-based role in Norfolk, VA, you will lead recruitment, onboarding, and day-to-day relationship management for flooring installers while using KPIs and measurement activity to support customer satisfaction.
Role Overview
As the Area Installation Recruiting Specialist, you will oversee flooring installer hiring and training across your assigned territory, conduct regularly scheduled store visits and in-home measurements as needed, and use performance metrics to guide proactive improvements. This position supports installer readiness and strengthens the installer/Lowe’s relationship through consistent field presence, structured onboarding, and data-driven coaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment of flooring installers across a multi-state territory using the ADVanced Insights Team tool and other targeted sourcing methods.
- Review and analyze applicant and hiring manager survey data to improve recruiting efficiency and quality of hire.
- Negotiate installer cost structures aligned with local market rates and Service Pros cost modeling.
- Maintain an up-to-date view of the flooring installation contractor marketplace, including competitor activity, installer availability, and regional pricing trends.
- Develop and deliver structured onboarding and training for newly contracted flooring installers to support professional representation of Service Pros and Lowe’s.
- Provide sales training support to help installers strengthen product knowledge and customer communication skills to improve satisfaction scores.
- Complete in-home flooring measurement training and perform measurements as needed, paid at a $30.00 piece rate per measurement.
- Partner with the workroom team to create retention and appreciation initiatives aimed at reducing turnover and building loyalty.
- Conduct targeted store visits at Lowe’s Home Improvement locations to evaluate and strengthen the installer/Lowe’s relationship.
- Act as the primary point of contact for installers within your territory to support trust and open communication across the field team.
- Use KPIs, data reporting, and performance metrics to monitor gross profit margins and customer experience benchmarks, taking proactive action when trends require it.
- Support consistently strong customer satisfaction scores across the territory.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; 3–5 years of related experience in talent acquisition, field operations, or customer service management preferred.
- Ability to lead situationally by motivating and aligning people around goals and shared expectations.
- Experience in a large, multi-site or multi-state environment with competing priorities and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to connect with entry-level installers, store managers, and senior leadership.
- Proficiency with database, spreadsheet, email, and word processing software, and comfort using reporting tools and data to drive decisions.
- Solid mathematical reasoning for cost modeling, pricing analysis, and performance metric evaluation.
- A valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving and insurance requirements.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% across a multi-state territory (road warrior role).
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 65 lbs and perform in-home measurements as needed.
