Job Description

An energetic Talent Acquisition Specialist to drive the full recruiting lifecycle from initial outreach through onboarding in an MSP environment, onsite in Louisiana.

Responsibilities

  • Job Board and Pipeline Management: Oversee postings across multiple platforms and track applicant stages within Pinpoint to maintain an organized, efficient hiring pipeline.
  • Pre-Screening: Conduct initial phone or video pre-screen interviews to assess technical aptitude, soft skills, and cultural fit.
  • Sourcing and Talent Pipeline: Proactively identify and engage qualified candidates for technical roles (such as Helpdesk, Network Engineers, Systems Administrators) and administrative positions.
  • Hiring Manager Collaboration: Partner with department managers to understand staffing needs, refine job descriptions, and align on hiring timelines.
  • Screening Procedures: Initiate and manage pre-employment background checks and drug screenings in a timely, compliant manner.
  • Travel Coordination: Arrange travel logistics (flights, hotels, transportation) for out-of-town candidates or new hires attending interviews or orientation.
  • New Employee Experience: Support onboarding by preparing welcome materials and co-facilitating orientation sessions to ensure a smooth start.
  • Candidate Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for applicants, providing timely updates, interview feedback, and offer details.

Requirements

  • Personable and Engaged: Superior interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with candidates and teammates.
  • Organized and Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational ability to manage multiple open requisitions, candidate schedules, and onboarding logistics simultaneously.
  • Self-Driven: High initiative and autonomy; motivated to meet hiring deadlines and solve problems independently.
  • Creative Mindset: Innovative in sourcing talent, crafting engaging candidate communications, and enhancing the new-hire experience.
  • Positive Attitude: Energetic, upbeat demeanor that reflects the company culture to prospective employees.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient across PC programs, applicant tracking systems (experience with Pinpoint is a plus), Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and modern productivity tools.
  • Prior Experience: 1–3+ years of recruiting or HR support experience, ideally within IT, tech, or MSP environments.
