Job Description

On-site opportunity in North Charleston, SC WE ARE SHARING HOPE SC is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead recruitment within the HR team, partnering with management on diversity initiatives to ensure fair hiring practices. The role uses multiple sourcing methods and networks with potential candidates, and engages with community and state-wide partners to attract applicants and convey the organization’s branding.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the recruiting function for the organization.
  • Post job openings on internal sites.
  • Post job openings on external sites.
  • Develop sourcing strategies.
  • Source candidates.
  • Assist in screening and scheduling interviews.
  • Ensure interview feedback is received from interviewers in a timely manner.
  • Actively engage with management to identify priority recruiting positions.
  • Provide support and communication to ensure managers can maximize their results.
  • Develop and lead recruiting strategies.
  • Identify efficiencies in recruiting.
  • Identify process improvements.
  • Identify additional resources to support recruiting within the organization.
  • Participate in reviewing online applications.
  • Assist in identifying qualified resumes for hiring managers for review.
  • Monitor changes in compliance regulations at the federal level related to recruiting and applicant data.
  • Track changes in compliance regulations at the state level related to recruiting and applicant data.
  • Communicate changes in compliance regulations at the local level related to recruiting and applicant data.
  • Keep record of recruiting trends.
  • Keep record of industry trends.
  • Keep record of local unemployment rates.
  • Keep record of national unemployment rates.
  • Keep record of statistics.
  • Monitor KPI’s on a regular basis.
  • Track KPI’s on a regular basis.
  • Report on KPI’s on a regular basis.
  • Assist in implementing positive marketing strategies.
  • Assist in implementing recruiting strategies.
  • Assist in implementing retention strategies.
  • Actively participate in DE&I Employee Engagement committees.
  • Maintain recruiting sources by region, e.g., local resources, industry associations, recruiting events.
  • Coordinate and participate in all career fairs and other recruiting events.
  • Register for the events.
  • Coordinate literature and collateral for the events.
  • Work with internal hiring managers to identify proactive recruitment strategies.
  • Ensure an active pipeline of qualified candidates for recurring open positions.
  • Developing candidate pool through networking.
  • Developing candidate pool through direct recruiting efforts.
  • Developing candidate pool through Internet sourcing.
  • Developing candidate pool through referrals.
  • Maintain Employee Referral Bonus program.
  • Assist managers with arranging interview schedules for candidates when required.
  • Draft offer letters.
  • Monitor the completion of pre-employment assessments.
  • Monitor the completion of background checks.
  • Monitor the completion of drug screens.
  • Monitor the completion of post-offer employment physicals.
  • Ensure all new hire paperwork is complete in a timely manner.
  • Keep hiring managers up to date on the status of pre-hire requirements.
  • Coordinate pre-hire documents.
  • Respond to all employment verifications within 24 hour time period.
  • Familiarizes self and keeps up to date on WE ARE SHARING HOPE SC policies and procedures.
  • Familiarizes self and understands benefits information, in order to answer general questions.
  • Maintains professionalism and tact in sensitive situations.
  • Possesses and maintains high degree of confidentiality.
  • Possesses and always maintains an approachable and friendly demeanor.
  • Works collaboratively with HR Team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong sense of discretion, ethics and professionalism. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in business or human resources.
  • Previous work experience in full lifecycle recruiting (4-8 years) and a minimum of 4 years working experience in human resources.
  • Exceptional time management skills, ability to work autonomously and efficiently, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service aptitude.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must have good problem solving skills.
  • Must be highly computer literate with capability in e-mail, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
  • Ability to quickly learn to utilize various department specific computer programs.
  • Technologies: MS Office.
