Job Description

Own end-to-end recruiting execution and candidate development to deliver a strong slate of talent across multiple searches at M&T Bank.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in talent attraction
  • Partner with line managers to build talent pipeline strategy for sourcing, interviewing, qualifying, and recommending candidates
  • Proactively source and attract candidates to maintain an applicant flow for current and future staffing needs
  • Advise line managers on recommended compensation packages
  • Negotiate, extend offers, and complete candidate closing
  • Follow government regulations, organizational policies, and system/data integrity requirements
  • Build strong working relationships with HR Business Partners, line management, and employees
  • Provide ongoing insights into competitive talent markets
  • Attend job fairs and/or open houses
  • Coordinate with Associate Recruiters to ensure appropriate sourcing support is provided to assigned lines of business
  • Manage special projects as assigned
  • Understand and adhere to Company risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in line with the Company’s Risk Appetite; identify risk-related issues for escalation to management
  • Support an environment that promotes belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand
  • Maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points and follow-up on issues raised by external regulators, as applicable
  • Complete other related duties as assigned

  • Establish and maintain relationships with M&T management, employees, external applicants, and community contacts

Requirements

  • College Degree, or applicable progressive experience in recruiting may be considered in lieu of education
  • Minimum 2 years total recruitment experience and/or relevant business line experience
  • Strong sales ability, including persuasion and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and engagements at the same time
  • Ability to operate in a high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Proactive approach and demonstrated diligence on searches
  • Experience identifying passive job seekers
  • Sound track record of fast response time, consistency, and success
  • Strong knowledge of personal computers and related software with internet experience
  • Superior consultative skills with ability to influence decisions

Education and Experience Preferred

  • Experience working for Human Resources within a corporate environment
  • Demonstrated ability in cold calling, name generation, and networking
  • Experience with Human Resources applicant tracking systems (plus)
  • Demonstrated recruitment success acquiring niche talent

Pay Range

  • $68,400.00 - $114,000.00 (USD) per year
