Job Description
The Talent Acquisition Partner at Doane University serves as a lead recruiter and talent ambassador, partnering with hiring managers to support both recruitment and onboarding. In this onsite role in Crete, Nebraska, you will help identify, attract, and hire employees who advance the University’s mission while building strong, long-term candidate pipelines.
Reporting through the University President division and housed in Human Resources, this full-time (12 months) position is salaried (exempt) and includes a focus on proactive sourcing, relationship building, and recruiting compliance.
Location, Schedule, and Compensation
- Location: Crete, NE (onsite) (68333)
- Job type: Full Time, 12 months
- Salary: USD 50,600 to 61,000 per year
- FLSA: Salaried (Exempt)
- Working conditions: Sedentary work; primarily indoor exposure
- Travel: Occasional travel between the Lincoln and Crete campuses (primary work site is the Crete campus)
What You’ll Do
- Proactively identify, attract, and hire exceptional employees who advance the University’s mission.
- Seek and develop relationships with talented professionals, including passive candidates.
- Create robust candidate pipelines through strategic sourcing, networking, social media, direct outreach, and ongoing relationship building.
- Partner with hiring managers across recruitment and onboarding as a trusted advisor on hiring strategies, candidate evaluation, interview best practices, and successful employee integration.
- Support general HR operations and special projects while delivering exceptional customer service for employees across the University.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Plus two years of progressively responsible recruiting or talent acquisition experience.
- Demonstrated success sourcing passive candidates via networking, social media, direct outreach, and relationship-building outreach methods including phone calls, email, LinkedIn, and other networking platforms.
- Experience managing multiple recruitment processes simultaneously.
- Ability to proactively identify, source, and recruit qualified candidates.
- Ability to build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
- Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
- Ability to develop creative sourcing strategies for difficult-to-fill positions.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Confident and professional telephone presence.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to initiate conversations with individuals at all organizational levels comfortably.
- Ability to represent Doane University with enthusiasm, professionalism, and authenticity.
- Ability to manage numerous searches simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, including prioritizing changing workloads in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of employment laws and recruitment compliance.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Ability to coach hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace and HR information systems.
