Job Description

Save the Children International is hiring a Specialist, Talent Acquisition to own end-to-end recruitment for high-volume roles across SCI’s functions, geographies, and live vacancies within the global People Services function.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full recruitment lifecycle for an allocated portfolio of roles, from role briefing to offer acceptance and handover
  • Design and execute sourcing strategies per role, using a mix of advertising and direct sourcing as needed
  • Maintain a high-standard candidate experience and represent Save the Children professionally throughout the process
  • Coordinate interview and assessment activity, ensuring panels are briefed, materials are prepared in advance, and decisions are documented clearly
  • Manage offers and pre-employment steps in line with SCI policy, escalating complexities or risks to the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition (direct line manager) promptly
  • Build trusted relationships with hiring managers, providing recruitment advice, market insight, and proactive updates
  • Handle process escalations transparently, keeping the team manager informed of any risks to timeline, quality, or stakeholder satisfaction
  • Contribute to workforce planning and hiring decisions through stakeholder engagement and strategic insight
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date ATS records, processing applications within defined SLAs
  • Apply recruitment policies consistently, including safeguarding, process compliance, and GDPR-compliant documentation and record-keeping
  • Proactively identify and escalate recruitment process risks or compliance gaps to the team manager
  • Serve as the designated TA partner for an assigned region within the global TA Community of Practice, providing recruitment advisory to Country Office HR teams
  • Support consistency and standardisation by sharing best practice and resources, and providing direct hiring support where needed
  • Attend regular check-ins to track regional hiring demand and context-specific needs through ongoing partnership with region and People leads
  • Use consolidated knowledge platforms, tools, templates, and guidance to support delivery
  • Support onboarding and development of new team members by sharing SCI systems, processes, and stakeholder landscape knowledge
  • Contribute operational insight to improve TA strategy, processes, and standards
  • Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives, including workflow optimisation, HR technology automation, employer branding, and stakeholder experience
  • Embed inclusive hiring practices across recruitment processes to promote diverse representation and equity in recruitment
  • Partner with hiring managers to strengthen inclusive decision-making aligned with SCI’s commitment to equity and diversity

Requirements

  • Significant experience managing multi-stakeholder recruitment at pace and scale, with proven delivery across a range of roles and regions
  • Experience partnering with stakeholders to advise, influence, and constructively challenge in support of effective decisions and strategic hiring goals
  • Strong organisational capability to manage a role portfolio accurately and quickly
  • Proactive approach to recruitment governance and compliance, with a commitment to process integrity
  • Ability to use data, metrics, and insight to inform decisions, identify trends, and improve operational performance
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in complex, ambiguous, or sensitive situations
  • Good understanding of applicant tracking systems
  • Cultural awareness, empathy, and sensitivity across diverse contexts, role-modelling Save the Children values through integrity and accountability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt to diverse audiences
  • English
  • Unrestricted right to work in the current or preferred location for the duration of employment

Preferred / Desirable

  • Experience in the international development, humanitarian, or INGO sector
  • Experience developing or applying tailored talent attraction approaches with understanding of local context and talent dynamics
  • Experience in leadership hiring and/or direct sourcing
  • Spanish language skills highly preferred, relevant to SCI operational geographies
