Senior Recruiter
Job Description
The Senior Recruiter will operate from Bedford, TX on a hybrid basis, driving end-to-end recruitment efforts while partnering with senior leadership and HR to shape staffing plans and deliver a positive candidate experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee end-to-end recruitment plans for open roles, prioritizing proactive talent pipelines to meet current and future staffing needs.
- Lead full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening and assessment, candidate submissions, interview coordination, and offer negotiations on Markel's behalf.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to shape recruiting programs, monitor market trends, provide competitive insights, and align headcount with business priorities.
- Deliver regular updates and calibrate hiring needs with hiring teams and HR business partners.
- Apply Markel's employer value proposition to marketing-driven sourcing aligned with brand, vision and core values to attract diverse, high-quality talent.
- Create proactive sourcing strategies, including passive candidates, leveraging networks, Workday Recruiter, social media, job boards, referrals, SEO, and LinkedIn tools.
- Build and maintain productive relationships through industry contacts, associations, trade groups, employment networks, and social platforms.
- Contribute to the enhancement of talent acquisition processes and operations to optimize efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years in full-cycle corporate recruiting with a proven track record of identifying and engaging top talent.
- Experience across all aspects of talent search, including AI-assisted sourcing, internet search optimization, innovative sourcing programs, passive candidate mining, networking, pre-screening, offer negotiations, and candidate relationship management.
- Proficiency with a range of sourcing techniques and tools, including AI, Boolean search, market research, LinkedIn Recruiter, and social media.
- Strong client service and candidate relationship management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle highly sensitive information.
- Demonstrated critical thinking based on data, thoughtful evaluation of information, and adherence to ethical standards.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems; Workday experience preferred.
- Understanding of applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Pay Information
The base salary range for this role is USD 80,000 to 90,000 per year, with a potential 15% bonus. Final compensation will reflect factors such as education, experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, location, and other relevant considerations.
