Job Description

The Senior Recruiter position at The Home Depot Enterprise leads recruitment efforts for designated areas, shaping talent acquisition strategies and managing full lifecycle hiring with guidance from HR leaders and Talent Acquisition leadership. This onsite role is based in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize strategic planning data to craft a function-specific talent acquisition plan that builds a robust external candidate bench aligned with Home Depot's staffing goals. Gather industry knowledge and competitive market data to inform potential staffing plan adjustments.
  • Lead full lifecycle recruiting with a clear focus on diversity, help define screening criteria, conduct screening and interviews, and negotiate salaries as needed.
  • Maintain proactive communication with all relevant business partners to perform Talent Acquisition functions and address gaps to ensure staffing effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Execute recruitment plans to achieve staffing metrics such as candidate quality, throughput, and time to offer, and provide status reports including open requisition updates and candidate throughput.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with stakeholders to meet talent acquisition goals and collaborate with groups to identify and resolve issues.
  • Develop individualized sourcing strategies for functional areas and execute them, incorporating approaches such as cold outreach, networking, and engaging passive candidates.
  • Ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance with federal, state, and local laws and company policies, maintaining appropriate recordkeeping and adherence to established sourcing, recruiting, and selection procedures.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age and legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience.
  • High school diploma and/or GED.

Direct Manager / Direct Reports

  • Typically reports to Manager, Talent Acquisition.
  • No direct supervision of others, but assists in coordinating activities of Recruiters and Staffing Coordinators.

Travel Requirements

  • Typically requires overnight travel ranging from 5% to 20% of the time.

Physical Requirements

  • Primarily sedentary with periodic movement; occasionally may lift light items.

Working Conditions

  • Based in a comfortable indoor environment; adverse conditions are infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five or more years of corporate Talent Acquisition experience, ideally in technical recruiting.
  • Proven recruiting expertise with strong sourcing strategies and internet search tools.
  • Experience designing and implementing a broad array of recruiting initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Corporate recruitment experience for a retailer, including IT, HR, Legal, Merchandising, etc., preferred.

  • Senior level leadership, negotiation, and influence to serve as a staffing expert and internal advisor.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while achieving staffing targets.
  • More than three years of experience conducting behavioral interviews.
