Job Description
Grand Prairie CASA is seeking a part-time Recruiter to lead recruitment and training for CASA Volunteer Advocates in Stuttgart, AR.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with CASA staff to design and implement a plan to recruit new and diverse Volunteer Advocates.
- Organize at least four outreach activities every month, emphasizing volunteer base diversification.
- Ensure outreach records are completed accurately and submitted on schedule.
- Handle inquiries about becoming a CASA volunteer, responding to each within 48 hours.
- Plan and host monthly volunteer information sessions, or CASA 101s.
- Complete required CASA training and at least 12 hours of continuing education annually.
- Support the ongoing development of Grand Prairie CASA's volunteer recruitment plan.
- Collaborate with CASA staff to craft a coordinated plan to improve retention of current volunteers (eg, annual appreciation event, cards for case closings, birthdays, service anniversaries).
- Provide monthly written reports on recruitment and outreach results to the Program Director.
- Work with the Program Director and Advocate Supervisors to assign new advocates.
- Staff, maintain, and keep the CASA office clean and functional.
- Represent CASA at community civic events within the four county region.
- Assist with fundraising events as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Requirements
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of personalities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Preference for experience presenting to large groups, delivering professional development, or teaching adults.
- Ability to build strong relationships and a positive reputation within the communities served.
- Knowledge of issues and dynamics related to child abuse.
- Familiarity with the juvenile justice or social services system or willingness to learn.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work a variable schedule.
- Proficiency with personal computers.
- Commitment to CASA's goals and mission.
- Driver's license preferred.

General Description
The Recruiter develops and implements strategic recruitment activities to attract high-quality CASA volunteers while maintaining high standards of service provision for children in the program. The role may provide both pre-service and in-service training to volunteer advocates and reports to the Executive Director.
