Agency Recruiting Specialist

Support agency hiring across Shelter Insurance’s operating territory with recruiting, candidate recommendation, and required background screening.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and recommend applicants for agency positions across Shelter’s operating territory
• Perform other duties as requested by the Recruiting Manager
• Order screening materials for final candidates, including:
  • Credit Bureau Report
  • Motor Vehicle Report
  • Criminal Background Check
• Conduct recruiting activities in assigned areas, including in-person engagement on vacancies

Requirements

• Superior communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented
• Aptitude to gain thorough knowledge of company products, policies, and philosophy
• Ability to travel overnight frequently, up to 50% overnight travel or more
• Ability to develop contacts and learn the local area and community, in person on assigned vacancy
• Capability to obtain P & C and Life & Health licensing and maintain current industry knowledge through industry courses (company paid)
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation

Job Details

• Location: Evansville, IN (onsite)
• Compensation: USD 63,273 (per year)
• Travel: Frequent overnight travel
• Tools and expenses: Home office equipment and company vehicle provided; travel expenses paid
