Agency Recruiting Specialist

Support full-cycle recruiting for agency opportunities across Shelter’s operating territory from an Indianapolis-based onsite role.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and recommend applicants for agency positions across Shelter’s operating territory
• Assist with other duties as requested by the Recruiting Manager
• Travel frequently for assigned vacancies, including overnight travel (home office equipment and a company vehicle are provided, along with travel expenses)
• On final candidates, help coordinate required screening: Credit Bureau Report, Motor Vehicle Report, and Criminal Background Check

Requirements

• Superior communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and goal oriented
• Aptitude to gain thorough knowledge of company products, policies, and philosophy
• Ability to travel overnight frequently, with potential for 50% overnight travel or more
• Ability to develop contacts and learn the local area and community, including in person on assigned vacancies
• Capability to obtain P&C and Life & Health licensing and maintain current industry knowledge through industry courses (company paid)
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation

Compensation

• USD 63,273 per year
