Job Description

On-site Recruiter position based in Phoenix, AZ for Goodwill of Central & Northern Arizona, focusing on candidate selection, interviewing, talent assessment, and workforce planning across the organization, with potential emphasis on Retail Management roles.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes assessment tools to drive progress toward recruitment goals.
  • Contributes to the development and refinement of corporate wide recruiting strategies and campaigns, and recommends policy improvements.
  • Achieves monthly recruiting targets in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Leads workforce planning with organizational leaders to ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting.
  • Develops internal and external communications and communities to promote Goodwill opportunities.
  • Establishes and maintains trusted advisor relationships with hiring managers and client groups, fostering collaboration.
  • May primarily recruit for Retail Management roles across Central and Northern Arizona, including high-volume class-style hiring.
  • Identifies, qualifies, and presents candidates to business leaders.
  • Interacts with applicants, candidates, and external sources to build robust talent pipelines for ongoing hiring needs.
  • Responds to employment inquiries from potential candidates.
  • Leads candidate negotiations and conducts reference checks for final selections.
  • Advises managers and team members on staffing policies and procedures.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of EEO, Affirmative Action, OFCCP, ADA and related guidelines at federal, state, and local levels; recommends revisions as regulations evolve.
  • Partners with Recruiting Team Members to continually improve Goodwill’s hiring practices.
  • Collaborates with Workforce Development to advance Goodwill’s mission.
  • Models Goodwill Core Values — Trust, Collaboration, Engagement, Ownership, and Innovation.
  • Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year university or college, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of full cycle recruiting experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience in workforce planning preferred.
  • Advanced Internet Recruiting Strategies (AIRS) or Social Talent certification preferred but not required.
  • LinkedIn Open Networker (LION) designation.
  • Applicant Tracking System (ATS) knowledge required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including electronic media and email.
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to manage multiple searches and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong team player who can collaborate effectively in groups and with partners across the organization.
  • Proficiency in speaking and reading English.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and confidentiality; able to relate comfortably to individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for the position.

Position Description

On-site (five days per week in office) provides candidate selection, hiring manager coaching, interviewing techniques, and talent assessment across GCNA and affiliated entities. Utilizes and interprets assessment tools and drives workforce planning within client groups. Partners with colleagues in Pipeline Development, Sourcing and Recruiting Operations to fulfill hiring needs across the organization.
