Principal Associate, Recruiter- Global Payment Network

As a Principal Associate, Recruiter on the Global Payment Network within the Professional Talent Acquisition Recruiting Team, you will help shape recruiting strategy, strengthen talent pipelines, and improve the experience for candidates and internal partners. This onsite role is based in McLean, VA, with a salary range of $120,800 to $137,900 per year.

The role emphasizes full life cycle recruiting, proactive market sourcing, and data-informed updates to leadership. You will work closely with hiring managers, group and organization leads, and key stakeholders to align talent needs with measurable hiring deliverables.

What you’ll do

• Partner with hiring managers and business, group, or organization leads to understand unique talent needs and priorities
• Own full lifecycle recruiting, including creating compelling position descriptions, building diverse candidate pipelines, marketing Capital One’s talent brand, screening candidates, advising partners on the recruiting process, and negotiating job offers
• Develop and execute sourcing plans to identify and recruit top talent, managing the candidate journey from identification and engagement through offer extension and closing
• Collaborate cross-functionally across a team of high performing recruiters, supporting a culture of inspiration, empowerment, and inclusion
• Use recruiting data to provide proactive status updates and communicate hiring results to leadership and HR partners
• Source beyond direct applications by leveraging search engines, career sites, recruiting events, and other innovative sourcing techniques to find best-fit talent in the market

Minimum qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
• At least 3 years of experience in recruiting OR 3 years in human resources OR 3 years in client consulting OR a combination of the three

Preferred qualifications

• Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification
• 4+ years of experience in Corporate Recruiting, including full life cycle, research, and sourcing
• 2+ years consulting with multiple hiring managers at once while building and enhancing strong working relationships with managers and their teams
• Ability to influence and drive results in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to use innovative techniques to attract and recruit diverse talent
• Experience in compensation and general HR requirements related to hiring

Compensation and incentives

For McLean, VA, the salary range is $120,800 to $137,900 for Principal Recruiter. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be offered the pay range associated with that location, as reflected in the offer letter.

This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
